Arrecife

This volcanic island has a multitude of cinder cones.
Above is the port town of Lanzarote

We rented a car for a drive'about of this interesting island.

Vineyards ...with lava rock as wind barrier.

Playa Grande Beach....
the sand was barged in from the Sahara Desert !

Most all homes were white on this island...this was the exception.
The fields thru out the island have been raked and arranged as above.

Highlight of this day was a visit to home of their local artist,
....Cesar Manrique.
