London.......Day 3

To the British Museum this morning.

The interior covered court area of this huge place.

So much to see here.....

In the afternoon we went to the British Library. Newer bldg...it is huge !!      We viewed the Magna Carta, signed 1215, also a copy of the Gutenberg Bible from 1450....and  many other interesting documents.

Note the awesome structure looming over the Library. It is just the top of one end of the Hotel St.Pancras (remodeled + reopened just this year)

 A Railroad Hotel, St. Pancras was established in 1871.  St Pancras International remains one of the greatest Victorian buildings in London. 
Key destination for Eurostar.  Impresssive place !

We did a....

....along the original streets of "old London".

Our walk included a tour of St. Paul's Cathedral.  And yes.. we did climb up the 257 steps to the Whispering Gallery ! 

Later in the day...we were off to visit our favorite store !

A great place to shop .....

We spent the afternoon at the Victoria + Albert Museum.

Chihuly was there... right in front of a fabulous choir screen from 1862.

So many interesting items to view.

                      New York, New York ....What a wonderful Town ! 

                It truly was a perfect summer day for walking this city ! !
We are staying in Midtown ... so off we went to see St. Patrick's Cathedral, Rockefeller Center, Times Square, Empire State Bldg, walked down 7th Ave to the Fashion District + Macy's, to Penn. Station, over to Madison Square Garden, then to NY Public Library, on to Grand Central Station and then a walk .....back up to Hotel Elysee.

                This afternoon + evening we enjoyed seeing wondrous things 
                 M.M of Art and afterwards walked by the Guggenheim Museum. 

                                        Wow...can't wait till tomorrow!
